Date: Wednesday, October 14th

Time: 7:30 am at OCA (for both AM & PM Students)

10th grade (free and mandatory, no sign-up required)

9th grade (Optional, sign-up required- $18.00 fee)

11th grade (Optional, sign-up required- $18.00 fee) 
9th and 11th graders interested in taking the PSAT/NMSQT?

The PSAT/NMSQT is practice for the SAT and is the only way to qualify for a National Merit Scholarship. 

The most common reasons for taking the PSAT/NMSQT are:

  • To receive feedback on your academic strengths and weaknesses.

  • Opens the door for scholarship opportunities including a National Merit Scholarship.

  • To help prepare for the SAT!

  • To see how your performance might compare with that of others applying to college.

The National Merit® Scholarship Program is an academic competition for recognition and scholarships that began in 1955. High school students enter the National Merit Program by taking the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT®)—a test which serves as an initial screen of approximately 1.6 million entrants each year—and by meeting published program entry and participation requirements.
